Just checked the fedex tracking #. My medicals only got to POS only April 2nd. Do you guys think it's appropriate to contact POS still? I was planning on doing so on Sunday. E-Cas has not been updated to in process or anything, just app recv'd and my interview date.

I have noticed that the processing time for POS is now 13 months....has it always been that way? I could have sworn it was 17 months before

@Can4Vincy Wishing both of you a great vacay. You need to start sending CSE's to POS once a week until you get a response.

@Saka I just sent it. Let's hope I get a response first thing in the morning. *fingers crossed* Processing went down from 14 to 13 mths. I believe this month, April 21st or 26th they'll update the processing times once more.

Hello Forum Fam,
New work week so looking fwd to a whole lot from POS. It's been way too quiet.

@ Saka That's what it states for 80% of the cases at POS. Thing is some of us have been waiting even longer than that, especially @Can4Vincy. I feel for her.

I haven't gotten a response as yet. If they don't respond today, i'll send another tmw. The last time I sent a CSE, I got a response in less than 2 hours.

I don't see why they hold up the processing of our files when they can complete them efficiently. I'd think a VO would want to be over and done with work rather than letting it sit there and pile up. I would never understand the way they seem to operate.....Stupessss!

I'm ready for my ppr. I just hope they send me email rather than snail mail. POS let's goooooooo!!!!!!!!

Good morning all, wishing everyone a great week, and hope POS give us something to cheer about.
Quite agree with you there Admirable, never understand why anyone would put off working that could be done immediately. I still cant believe that PoS is this slow as opposed to JA. If as some of us think that POS gets more work and maybe that is true, maybe, just maybe this forum should show more applications going through POS. My feeling is that POS is slow becos there is a lot less work to be done, fewer IO's etc.

I am pleased to advise you that all processing requirements have been met and your immigrant visa will be issued to you when you have provided the following to our office:

1) copies of ALL the pages of your current/valid passport. Your passport must be valid at least one month beyond the validity of your medical examination, 12 October 2012, which will be the date by which you must arrive in Canada as an immigrant;

2) one (1) current passport-type photograph, meeting the enclosed specifications, for yourself. Do not staple or glue these photos to any object;

3) complete the following information for yourself:

You are required to submit all the items listed above in THIRTY (30) days from the date of this letter, failure to do so will result in your application being refused for non-compliance. I have a question - my husband is a citizen of Guyana leaving in Barbados, doesn't he need to send his passport since Guyana is not a visa exempt country??

He needs to send in his pp. If he was Bajan, he didn't need to as Barbados is a visa-exempt country.
I'm overjoyed. It's been too long since I added an update to the s/s.



@ SmokiJoe I believe they have more work because they do serve many Caribbean Islands, thereby having a larger clientele. From what i've read, medicals from KGN goes to the POS office for processing. Thing is, the KGN forum fam are getting pprs left, right and center. Our forum fam is extremely small compared to them and we don't have many applicants who are going through POS on this forum. However, the truth is that some of us have been waiting extremely longer than others. After 22 mths, Can4Vincy is still waiting. That's beyond ridiculous. I feel as though they are laid back in that office. Don't forget, at my interview, my VO sure was. It's like, he wasn't even prepared. Why should he when his assistant does all the work? Maybe I should have been interviewed by his assistant, rather than him. For the many months that my file was sitting in his office, he admitted that he knew nothing about me. He didn't even review my file before the interview. I'm disappointed in this office a whole lot. Nobody should have to go through this ordeal at all.

I don't think i will be getting a response from POS. The day is pretty much over. What I will do is send them my updated cell #. Let's hope they respond to that . It's worth trying!!!!

I'm happy we had a ppr so far this week. Let's keep this up POS!!!!! Let's keep em' coming!!!!!
