Police verification certificate from london- seniors please help

Dear members,

i received PER from CIO. they informed me that my file has been transferred to VO london. i am from india living in the UK for the last 3 years. i submitted my police verification from uk along with my documents. But i am unable to get a PCC from india. Tried to get it through one of my relatives in india but was told that i should be present to get the PCC. can someone please suggest if i can get one from indian embassy in london. If yes what is the procedure? how much time would it take? i lived in two cities (chennai and mumbai) in india before moving to the uk.

Or should i wait till i get the letter from the VO in london requesting for a PCC

you go to your nearest Indian Embassy with your London PCC copy,after that they provide you a Indian PCC but it takes sometime.Before I can do it from a another country & I got it also.
