Police report where I live currently has a "job description" field, I put "Liberal profession" instead of "unemployed", can this cause problems ?

Basically, the police report where I am currently residing has a "job description" field. It is self declared and no supporting documents are required, I put "liberal profession" instead of unemployed, which is my current situation, and reflects the information that I will put in the citizenship grant form. Could this be a problem ? (mischaracterization or other big issue?)

Can this be a problem? Should I redo the police reports with accurate "unemployed" job description ?

Thanks.

They ask for all periods of employment and unemployment, without any gaps. Why would you say you're working when you're not?

There's nothing wrong with declaring unemployment.

Employment or work history is used to verify residence. If you lie, they will find out and it could be misrepresentation. In other words, it's important to be honest. In the worst case you may be asked to provide additional proof of your time in Canada (RQ), but if you've got nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.

I basically made a mistake in filling that police form... I truly have nothing to hide, do you think it's important I redo that police report with "unemployed" on it ?

What kind of document would serve as additional proof of time in Canada ?

Thanks

If it's not too difficult then why not correct it rather than face an issue down the road? They only ask for additional proof in some cases. They will tell you what is required at the time e.g. tenancy agreements etc.

I second with johnjkjk. There is no harm in saying that you are unemployed on your citizenship application and you can mention "Seeking better opportunities" or anything under the notes section. No one is going to ding you for that. On the Contrary if you mention employed and if an officer wants to cross check with CRA tax fillings, you might end up having more headache. The Citizenship application is a long process and once you have applied sometimes you are not even clear with the reason for delay unless they get back to you.
Try doing the right thing even though you might have to change the police certificate, but you wont have anxiety in the future.

Cheers !
