He said tho, "upon passport request". Meaning, the VO should have a copy of the physical passport of the applicant.
Anyway, it is very rare to use another passport as people need to hand over the old one when getting a new one.

as for using another passport, I agree it is rare but for people with dual citizenship it is not quite so uncommon.

the last three Canadian passports I have renewed, they have given me the option to keep my old passport. under this circumstance, CIC would never see all of my entries/exits/re-entries.

I was just a bit worried regarding the police clearance since my husband worked in Saudi Arabia and he went back home August 2012 and did not come back to Saudi again. He got his PC before leaving, and I'm hoping they would not request him for a new one.
