Hi there

I do not want to disappoint you but just FYI.....

I have been in same situation for my wife's PCC, her record was clear though we waited for 7 months and still didn't get it, Finally we gave up and withdrawn application because we needed her passport for another reason.

I tried all possible ways to contact BLS, CGI, Regional passport office in the India and even local police station and couldn't made it.....

I still don't know the reason as they did not provide me any satisfactory reason. BLS and Regional passport office were blaming each other that BLS " we sent it from here already and we are waiting for their reply" where as RPO "we did not get anything from them, whenever we'll get it, we'll reply ASAP"

I hope you will get ur wife's plc ASAP and u guys dont have to undergo same situation as us.....

Thank you

Danny

How did you get your wife's PCC then?

I do not know whether CIC would accept that justification.
While I wait for the PCC applied @ BLS, Toronto, this is what I did.

I applied for PCC from local police station back in India through my folks and submitted to CIC.
I have not withdrawn my spouse's PCC application applied here.
I am not sure whether CIC would accept it. I will have to wait and see.

If a person is in Canada, it is advisable to get the pcc from Indian consulate. Refer to cic website - it clearly says that inside Canada, you should contact indian consulate.

@eds: I agree with you about what we see on the website.
However, I was told that CIC does not really care as long as its from the government.
I will have to wait and see.

Hi,
Today I went to BLS office in edmonton and they took 4 passport size photos 35 mm X 35 mm and application and reference forms . Canada work permit notarized since nothing had mentioned in the site I took it just xerox but they asked me for notarized copy fortunately there is a immigration lawyer next door who does notarized so I went I have it done. All went well when at the time of paying the fee the person requested for my original passport I thought he will just check it and return it back but he mentioned he will send this passport to indian embassy and when they issue PCC they will send original passport along with it. Since I have plans to go to India next month I dont want to submit it. So I took back the application and came home. Hopefully I will apply in INDIA since I will stay for 4 weeks.

unfortunately , BLS site is not helpful and nothing had been mentioned in the site.

I have a question. I got an invitation and have done filling out the questionnaire. Shockingly, it is not showing me the column to upload the police clearance certificate at all. I born on 17 June and came to Canada on December 20, 2016. What could be the reason? The system should generate at least a column for Indian pcc. Does anyone have any idea?
