Hi Everyone,

I am planning to apply for Canadian PR in July 2012. I have a question regarding Police Clearance Certificate.

I was born in a small town. Was shifted to a city after six days. Since then I am living in the city.

My National ID Card shows that town address as my permanent address and the city address as current address.

My passport shows that town name as my birth place. Do I need to get two police clearance certificates from the city and town?

I lived in London for three months and few days in 2010. I was on Tier 1 (previously Highly Skilled Migrant Program) visa. Returned to my country due to parent's medical situation and never went back. Do I need police clearance from London as well?

Regards,

Friends, please respond...

I believe ONE PCC is enough from your Home country, If you lived a year or more then only you need a PCC......... If its true then no need to get a PCC from London,, Its my opinion

thanks Ashok. Any other opinions on this please?

How does PCC work? It includes all addresses where you lived in a city/country or its different for different addresses, different cities, etc...

I am from Pakistan, if it differs from country to country...

The requirement of getting PCC is for those who has lived on an address in a country for consecutive 6 months. Check the following link & you will get full answers :

thanks mian g. London thing is clear now but it does not say if I need to make two certificates for my present and permanent address. please help.

PCC is not based on particular address..it is based on country....

It will give general remark about your clean crime record having your name and your passport no.

Hope this is true for Pakistan as well: only one certificate from you present address Police authority is required (not from permanent address). Can someone from Pakistan confirm this?
