Step 1 - Gather Documents.
PCC from India is valid for Period of 12 Months i.e 1 Year.
Note: If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please
ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier. Police
certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. However, if a
final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the
visa office may request that you provide a new one
On the CIC webiste - Who needs a police certificate?
In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.
The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.
If the original certificate is neither in English nor in French, submit both the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator with your application
I got request undergo Medicals on Sept 5,2012. I have PCC issued by Passport office dated Feb 8,2012. Is the PCC issued in Feb 2012 still valid?
My application to CIO NS was submitted in Nov 2012. ( I have taken PCC from Indian Passport Office in Feb 2012)
