Hi All,

I am planning to apply PCC from Bangalore, I am confused where to apply whether I need to apply at police commissioner office or PSK,
When I contacted my consultant he told when we are obtaining PCC from commissioner officers we need to get it from home town as well.
Because my passport is from Hyderabad and i am presently working in Bangalore. Is that true do we need to get PCC clearance from all
states where I have worked.

Seniors please help me.

You need PCC only from one place. One PCC per country. Your consultant is misleading you. Why hire such useless consultants who make your journey more cumbersome. You can apply for PCC either from comissioner's office or from PSK - wahtever suits you.

If you are looking for applying from comissioner's office Bangalore, please read one of my posts.

Hi, under EE do we need PCC or PVC? Which is more significant and we still don't have an ITA, does it make sense to get the police clearance at this stage? Appreciate your help. Thanks

You need PCC. If you have lived in multiple cities in India, its better to get your PCC from PSK as it will cover all the places you have lived. If you have lived in the same city throughout, then you can get PCC from the local police.

In India, the process will not take much time so its better to get PCC after you get an ITA. If you need a PCC from another country, then you can initiate the process.

I have lived in many cities in India. My passport has address of my hometown. Do I need to go to the PSK in my home town or can I visit any nearest PSK? How many days you suppose it should take to get PCC?

I am not sure if you have to go to your hometown or not. I believe your nearest PSK should be able to help as it is a centralized system. However, I'll suggest to confirm this before scheduling your appointment.

If you have renewed your passport in last 6 months, you will get the PCC in few hours. If not, then it will take around 15-20 days for the same.

Hi All,

I went to PSK at Sai Arcade in Bangalore. First the entire process was very slow. In spite of providing my Aadhar card, Bank statements, I have been asked to get PV done and get the clear report from Police. Today I got a message that PV details have been sent to police station.

What should I do. Should I go to Police station or wait for the call.

tks,

Hi ,

Please share your experience.

1. Did you get a call from the local police or did you have to go to the station?

2. If they called, how much prior intimation was provided?

3.Were you needed to be physically present, if they were visiting you?

4. In addition to the file created at the PSK Sai Arcade (which includes the acknowledgement and documents submitted), were any additional documents needed/asked by the police

5. If you visited the police station, what was your experience there?

6. I understand that you applied through the PSK at Sai Arcade, Bellandur/Devarabeesanahalli on the Outer Ring Road, Bangalore (opposite Intel/Ecoworld). Which police station were you coordinating with?

7. How was your experience dealing with the police personell? Were they co-ordial and helpful? Did you face challenges because of language barriers?

8. Were your neighbors or housing society/ gated community residents or staff or property owner or co-leasers needed or involved for this process?

9. How long did it take, from the time you got the message? Could you break down the steps with time duration?

10. What was the process of collection of the PVC at the PSK? Do you have to go directly to the APO's office?

10. Any other tips, from your experience?

Sorry for the laundry list of questions; its my anxiety at work. Thank you for your help. I am precisely in the same stage as you were when you wrote this post. All the best .

Best,
Ricky
