Hello guys , do i need to get PCC from Canada?

I read in the Guideline of CEC AND THEY MENTIONED THAT

You and your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens must provide:

valid police certificate, or
police clearance, or
record of no information.
These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six (6) consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

Please let me know....

It says:

So the answer is clearly NO.

Hi

PCC from Canada will only be required IF CIC request it, this request would be made after you get your AOR.

I agree with the post above, the instruction is pretty clear "other than Canada" sort of gives it away! So for you initial application NO you do not need a PCC from Canada!

Thx

Hi, I applied for PCC 3 months back and the status is still "Processing at High Commission". I provided them Personal Information Form as soon as they asked for.
I have three questions:
a) How long does it take if they ask for Personal Information Form?
a) Should I try to get a PCC from Superintendent of Police in my hometown through a family member (I am in Canada now ;)
b) If I do not get PCC by 15 Dec (by which I planned to apply), is it OK if I apply without PCC? I read the CIC guidelines in sl. no. 13 of the documents checklist.
Thank you all for your reply.

You know, I would probably guess that you're talking about a PCC from India, but why make us guess? You'll get more help if you use the right key words...

Hi

The post was relating to a specific question associated with a Canadian PCC.

Please address any other PCC requests under a new thread with specific details around your situation.

Thx

jes_ON is correct. I think the person is trying get PCC from the other country(s) perhaps from India. Because when status says 'Processing at High Commission' that means consulate office of THE country in Canada. I don't see any need to wait 3 months for Canadian PCC within Canada. But other possibility would be person trying to get Canadian PCC from other country. Don't know s/he case.

Hi

Please go to the beginning of this thread and ready the post from Krunal. Someone else hijacked the post, lovemontreal has confused the issue.

Thx
