UAE PCC
You have 3 options:
i. Visit UAE personally and obtain PCC in 1 or 2 days.
ii. Ask you friend or relative in UAE to apply for UAE PCC on your behalf and submit all the required documents.
iii. Avail the service of an agent to obtain UAE PCC.

Steps to follow:
1. Obtain the UAE Form online and print it out, fill it.
2. Obtain your fingerprints on a fingerprint card from your nearest police station.
3. Get this fingerprint card attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (India)and also by the UAE Embassy in India.
4. Send the relevant documents (Copies of UAE Visa, Emirates ID, Passport, etc.) to UAE and obtain the PCC from Ministry of Interior, UAE.

If you have already received ITA, then certainly your best option is to go via an agent. The agent should charge you around 30k to 35k INR. Agent should do the attestation part for you as well since it has to be done from New Delhi.
One such agent is "Genius Group". I obtained my UAE PCC through them when I was in some different country last year. They handed over the UAE PCC to me within 15 days. You pay the money only after you obtain the UAE PCC. Looks like they have a branch in Mumbai also.

All the best.

First, you need to apply for the Indian PCC since it takes a few days. Tell your employer that you need it for some important property documentation in India.
As you are expecting an ITA probably in a week or two, then after receiving ITA - apply for UAE PCC.
In case your employer does not renew your work permit, then by that time you would have already submitted your e-APR. You can come down back to India and chill till you receive your PR.
Thank you so much for your reply.

Could you advise on the following

1. The validity of PCC
2. Is PCC needed for both primary applicant and spouse?

Awaiting your reply.

Thanks.

1 - As long as you obtain the PCC after the last time that you lived in that country it will be valid.

2 - Yes if she lived there for 6 months or more.

Cheers ;)

Yes, your spouse also needs to obtain the PCCs for all countries where she resided for 6 months or more since the age of 18.
If you are currently in UAE and you submit this PCC for e-APR, then it will be considered valid for 6 months by IRCC.

Folks,
I and my wife are Indian citizens, currently staying in Singapore for about 2 years. She has gone to India temporarily (6 months) for her work. We both need to submit PCCs from India as well as Singapore. Is it suggested that we both do from one location itself- I mean she travels to singapore and we both get it done jointly from Singapore authorities and Indian embassy or would it be ok if she submits it from Indian passport office/SG corresponding agencies and I submit it from Singapore locally? Trying to understand the thumb rule here and whether two diff.locations wouldnt be suggested per say.

Hi Guys,

May be it is already answered but here is my question.

I was born in India, lived till 2012, went to Canada in Jan 2013 and was there till June 2015. Now I am back to India since July 2015.
I know I need PCC from India but do I need one from Canada as well.

What I understand is, PCC from Canada is only required if they ask explicitly. Right ?

Thanks in advance!

Correct. You only require to obtain PCC for India, not Canada. And of course PCC for any other country you have stayed in for 6 months or more since the age of 18.

This is the information provided by CIC:

Angola
Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Yes.

How and where do I obtain one?
Applicants should apply for a police certificate at the local police authority.

Cheers ;)
