Thanks for reply. Again screw my immigration consultant. I am going to have a word with him tomorrow. +1 for providing correct info.
You should request a refund if your immigration consultant told you that no medical/PCC was required for your non-accompanying spouse. This is extremely basic information. Anyone who doesn't know this shouldn't be in the business.

hi all

I am Quebec Selection Certificate holder and going to apply for Police clearance certificate for my Federal application .

I am staying in Pune india from last 1 year and recently got my passport issued from Pune india but my permanent address is in Patiala Punjab

Below are my queries

1. Can I get my police clearance certificate from ( Senior Superintendent of police) SSP office in Patiala ? Will that be valid for Immigration canada ?

2. Or should i get police clearance certificate from Passport office in pune ?

Which one is acceptable to Immigration canada in India ?

I asked this question earlier also but I am still confused and the question is

DO i need police clearance certificate for my non accompanying wife also ?

As per Immigration" cic website form it is mentioned

Who needs a police certificate?

In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have spent six or more months since the age of 18.

and in document checklist form it is mentioned

1. you must get a police certificate from each country or territory where you lived

So there is no mention of family in this document checklist form

Please Adivce .
