police check to be followed?

HI GUYS. i HAVE A QUESTION.
I am planning to submit my police check after we submit our application in December. (because I need to change my status first from single to married and it will take one month to be deliver on my mail) so most probably I can send the police check on January. my question is, where can I send the police check? in the same address where I send my application or in different address? Thank you

I'm new to the application process too but i wouldn't send the application without the police check, they might consider it an incomplete application and send it back. I don't know for sure but you might be able to get it as single and just refer to the marriage certificate that the name and status changed after that. I would recommend checking that with others though

Your marital status won't show up on the police certificate well at least it doesn't for Australian ones.

Really? That's weird, I don't see what that has to do with any crimes you've committed.. If I was you I'd submit the check with the application, it will be dated the day that they ran the check. So if it says single on it just attach a note to it explaining you ordered it before the wedding so it says single and not married.

I sent my police check separately, after I received AOR and SA, because the FBI was taking 4-5 months to complete them at the time. CIC was aware of the situation, but I sent a formal letter with my application, in place of the police check, reiterating this point. CIC did not send my application back and they accepted the FBI check just fine. Is your police check from the FBI or Australia? I'm pretty sure the police checks are only valid if you send them in to the CIC within 90 days of the date it was run (someone correct me if I'm wrong please). If you already have it in hand, I'd send it in with your application. I'm not sure what the marital status has to do with it though, as my FBI check did not list my marital status. Even if it did, I'm considered "single" in the US as I don't believe the federal government recognises common-law marriages. The state I'm from, Arkansas, has no common-law marriage either.

(For example, if you lived in a country for eight months but left on a two-week vacation, that counts as living there for eight months.)

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

If your certificate is in a language other than English or French, send it when you apply, along with the original copy of a translation done by a certified translator.

thank you for those who replied. heres my concern guys. because our wedding will be on november and were planning to submit our application on December this year. If I will aply for a police check today my status is still single becuase My status gonna change after november. so is it okay if I gonna send the latest police chek with "single" in the form?
