Hi everyone

I’ve got a query regarding the police certificate.

as per the Canadian government site we must provide police certificates for:

  1. you and your family memberswho are 18 years or older and
  2. every country you (or a family member) stayed in during the last 10 years for 6 months or more in a row.

The thing is that, I’ve moved in France when I was 21 years old and I’ve been living here for more than 10 years now.

Do I still need to provide a police certificate from my original country or the French police certificate would suffice ?

thank you so much!

If you have not lived in any country for more than 6 months in a row, then you only need the PCC from France.

Thank you for answering.

I only lived in France and in the Philippines. I understood that I would only need French Police certificate but someone told me that i need both that’s why I posted on this forum to make sure.

thank you again

how 6 months in a row is defined?
I mean if a person lived in City A for 10 months, but has been traveling to City B for 10 days every 2 months, then PCC is not required for City A?

PCC is required for a country so as long as City A and City B are in the same country, you will require the PCC.
