My sponsorship application for my spouse is in the process at Hong Kong visa office, I received a request to submit her all police certificates. It says in the visa office's letter that " Original police certificates from each country in which you have spent 6 months or more since the age of 18." But when I read the Guide 5525, it says "the country where you currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and the country where you’ve spent most of your adult life since the age of 18.

My wife's case is she used to study in Canada for her degree as an international student, she left Canada four years ago after she finished and never come back again. Does she need to submit Canadian Criminal Record Check? She probably needs to if you read the visa office letter. But she probably doesn't have to if you follow the Guide 5525. What do you think? Thank you!

It's all countries except Canada. No PCC is required for Canada unless specifically requested by CIC.

Thank you Scylla. Does it also apply for PNP application, no Canadian criminal record check required? Thank you!
