Hi Guys,

So the police certificate my husband received is in Danish. We have now requested English copy of the certificate which will take time some time (approximately 15 days). My application is pretty much ready to be mailed. Should we mail out the application and send the Police certificate from Denmark at a later date, or should we wait and send the complete package?

I don't want my application to get delayed or returned back because of the certificate.

I am going to put this up so that I can get a response.

Hi

I think it would be best if you should wait the Police certificate of your husband before sending your application. Immigration go straight forward for those applicants with complete documents required.
I hope this helps :)

My partner and I sent our application with an expired police certificate, because we didn't want to wait for the new one.

We sent the new one when it came in, and the processing of our application has not been delayed.

Totally up to you, though!

Why not just get it translated? My husband's police cert was in Spanish, we had it translated to English. The translator had it done quickly because he does it regularly (he is also a lawyer) so he has all the basic formats, inserts personal info, and checks it to make sure there were no new changes.
