Does anyone know how to obtain Police Certificate in Saudi Arabia and how much time does it takes to get one?? Any help in this regard shall be much appreciated !

I have same issue you can get it
just you have to writ explantion letter for the officer and you need to be physically there to do finger print

I heard a different story, that you need to get a letter from Canadian Embassy, then goto MOFA, then Police Head Quarters, and then they take a lot of time to process your application for certificate !

I got my PCC from Saudi Arabia a couple of months back. Firstly, you need to be physically present in Saudi Arabia to get it issued. I don't know how it will work if you are outside Saudi Arabia as you need to get your finger prints done.

First step is to get a letter from your country's embassy in Saudi Arabia. For me it took around 6-7 working days to get the letter from Indian Embassy.
Then you need to take that letter and go to MOFA. They'll stick a stamp on the letter. And finally you take that letter along with your passport and photographs to the Police Station in Batha. There they'll take your finger prints and issue the PCC in 2-3 days provided there is no criminal record against you.

I am also from KSA and planning to take IELTS next month in April... not sure which one to take... British Council or IDP? Second, I assume you are working towards the PR now (You must have received ITA) ... do you have any good source to prepare IELTS?

No I haven't received my ITA yet. My score is 434. Let's hope for the best.
I took my IELTS from British Council, Riyadh. Although I don't see any reason why you can't go for IDP.
Once you book your IELTS exam through British Council website they'll provide you login & PW to access IELTS material & practice tests.
I found that material sufficient. Additionally, there are numerous IELTS exam prep videos available on You Tube.

Hi! i'm new here. I just wanna ask about police certificate. I worked in Saudi Arabia last 2011-2013. I have an old saudi police certificate with me with the english translation from saudi. Im a live in caregiver here since june 2013. Im about to apply for my OWP & PR this month. My question is,, Do I have to submit a saudi police certificate for my application? because i heard that i have to submit police certificate from countries i lived for more than 6 months. but i tried to check the cic website it says that "it is only available for current legal residents". does it mean it's okay i don't submit one? or can i use my old saudi police certificate which i used when i applied here as LIC in riyadh. here's what i found on cic website:

Do I need to provide a Police Certificate with my Application for Permanent Residence? No. Citizenship and Immigration Canada will send you a letter requesting a police certificate after you send your Application for Permanent Residence. You must bring that letter when you apply for a Police Certificate.

If you are not a citizen of Saudi Arabia:

If you live in Saudi Arabia:
Certificates are available only to current legal residents.

If you live outside of Saudi Arabia:
Certificates are available only to current legal residents.

is there anyone who has worked in saudi arabia, submitted application against ITA and not sent PCC from saudi arabia? what has happened to your application? has CIC accepted it or rejected?

my situation is that i am currently living in saudi arabia but soon i will be leaving this country. i have got AOR from Ontario provincial nomination and soon i will get nominated. but till that time i will be in other country. so is there any way that i can get a pcc from here before leaving this country? or CIC will understand my situation and waive saudi pcc requirement?

I believe you should be able to get the PCC possibly JUST before you leave.. if you leave a country, I understand that the rule is that any PCC after that time period will be considered as valid... so if you get it a couple of days before your final departure, it should be fine... if you are more comfortable to add an LOE, you can do so too... if I were you, I would arrange to have my PCC ready just a couple of days before departure...even better if you can apply for it on your last day or 2 ..and they allow some one else to pickit up and courier it to you..that way you can be sure that the date of PCC would be after your last exit from KSA.

Hi! I also live in Saudi Arabia, and I just received ITA in the last draw. You should be getting a PCC request letter after submitting your application for PR. Please find the below instructions mentioned on the CIC website and let me know what you think;

A police certificate request letter will be sent to you by mail after your application for Permanent Residence has been received. You must present this letter, along with valid identification and proof of legal residency in Saudi Arabia to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If they approve you, the letter will give you the address to the police headquarters where you must go and apply in person.

If your application is being processed at the Canadian High Commission in London, you are not required to get a police certificate until the London visa office sends you a police certificate request letter with instructions on how to apply.

For applications being processed at any other office, request letters can be requested by e-mail: riyadh.visa@international.gc.ca or fax: 966-1-488-9657. Please include the file number, the office where you applied and your mailing address.

If you are applying at the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, UAE, you should submit a police certificate with your application. You can contact the visa office for a request letter at fax: (971 2) 694-0396 or e-mail: abu-dhabi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca. Please include your immigration file number if you have one.

hi i just want to ask if the iqama from saudi arabia considered as national id or a travel document? i got an ITa from last draw and when i entered my iqama number as a national identity it ask to give a supporting documents in my EE application

Hi Reslan! Can you please shed some more light on what you did exactly? What info did you need to provide to the Canadian Embassy on your email to them? Do you have to somehow prove to them that you received ITA? What info did you include in your email?
