Hello all,
I went to get a police certificate from within Canada to prepare for my PR application, and an officer there recommended me to wait until I apply to PR and get and email from the Immigration Office to provide the certificate(s). Only then come and apply for the police certificate, because the processing time for the PR application is longer than the validity of the certificate(s).
I think this makes sense, and it is mentioned in the checklist of the PR application that it is possible to send the application without them. However, it is also said in the checklist that it is strongly recommended to send the certificate(s) with the application, or to take the necessary steps now to avoid any delay.
So, I am now confused, shall I prepare them now and before submitting the application, or to wait until they asked for it? and how long usually they give to submit the certificates from the time of the request (one month, 2, 3, ...etc), to make sure if I can obtain them in a timely manner?
Thanks
