I have applied recently to sponsor my wife who is from Latvia. Sorry I do not speak Latvian, only Russian, English, French. My wife is latvian though . Maybe I could help you with you questions if you translate it to me please. How was your experience with Warsaw till now? I am thinking of when my file actually gets transferred there to send them additional pictures, letters and general information that me and my wife we have a ciontinuing relationship from the moment I applied.

i am just curious.. if example in form "additional dependants" did u write a huge "n/a" since u dont have any?
why do u want to send additional proof? u didnt include that much initially?

Yep, well I am Russian, just immigrated to Canada from Kiev, Ukraine.

The reason why I want to send more info, is that unfortunately, our case can cause questions. We got married rather fast for Immigration Canada I suppose. Only 5 months after meeting each other. So any additional proof of relationship would not hurt. My wife is in Latvia right now, we met in Canada as she was studying here in Montreal, but then she left as her stay expired. At return in 40 days, as she wanted to stay with me she got refused access at Montreal's airport. So she went back to Riga, I flew with her for a week at least. Well, we married since, she is there I am here, just trying to fly to Riga at every opportunity. I am going there in exactly a week again !!! My wife is pregnant now, another good proof of a ginuiness of relationship, so I think pictures of me, my pregnant wife in Jurmala on the beach, will leave the immigration officer speachless, and he will grant my wife permanent residency fast .

As for your question, I suppose you talk aout IMM008, there is a button on the form, where you can add, delete dependants, just press it to delete and there will be no dependants on the form at all for you to fill in.

Are you in Latvia, or in Canada?

yes .. im in Canada!!!! and im very happy! we were apart from each other almost 2 years.. i visited my bf twice
for 1st year i used Work&Holidays program.. but now i got working permit for 1 year..
i just really hope everything will work out!

The IMM 008 DEP Additional Dependents is not to be sent if you do not have more dependents that do not fit on the IMM 008 form. I think you can put up to 5 dependents on the form IMM 008, so if you have more you use the additional dependents form. In your case, same as in mine, I just did not submit it at all as you do not need it. You also have this information in the Applicant Guide.

And I think I will not wait till they ask for more information. because if they do an interview will follow, which I want to avoid. I hope they will not make my wife with a very small baby at that time go to Warsaw from Riga to ask what? Yes we are having a real family, look here is our kid, do you think he is fake too

Just trying to give some life to the thread. All people going through Poland, share your experiences please. The application for sponsoring my wife just got there last week. We actually got an email from them stating that the file is there and that if we do not hear anything from them within three months to contact them. Any other experiences to share with this VO? Anybody had an interview there?

Why is that? Actually I suspect one for us too, but really hope they don't. Our relationship developped extremely fast. So they can suspect something. On the other hand, with all my visits to Riga to see my wife after she had to leave Canada, with all our emails, skype chats (1600 pages in 6 months), I hope it is enough. We'll see. Oh and our daughter, we are expecting a child soon. I have been told they do not take pregnancy as an absolute proof of the ginuianity of the relationship which kind of makes me wonder if these officers are human?

Not too sure. There isn't many people going through Poland, so can not really say. I have a colleague at work, who sponsored his girlfriend on common law basis through Poland also. His girlfirend did not have an interview. But it really depends on the officer. Sometimes they just want to see you to have some sort of a "feel" for the relationship. I want to try and avoid an interview. I am going to see my wife in 8 days i Latvia. We will combine together a little additonal package just to show that our relationship is continuing. We have more pictures together, more of my plane tickets. I am even thinking of printing a reccord from my work as my wife is getting, even though she does not leave in Canada yet, flight benifits as being my wife. I work for an airline so my wife get the same benifits as I do. I will ship all this to Poland. Really hoping to avoid going to Warsaw, not that close for my wife (I will have to fly there and go with her too as a support) and it is pretty stressful also.

well we are thinking that we have to attend an interview because, I was married before( sponsored person) and i overstayed my visa as well! we send so many proofs that we are real genuine couple, and we are sending additional info to warsaw aswell! we send already like 300 pictures, from different times and events! then all our phone bills seince we met, around 14 letters from friends and family etc..... we wanna go and visit my family to latvia, so its not a problem for us to go for a interview, the problem is we dont wanna go when poland wants us to go, we would like to go, when my bf can get off work, when we planed out all our trip, when my brother has his little baby born, when wheather is nice there etc......

300 pictures, I sent maybe like 30, with the wedding included. We do not have that many pictures, but I sent the most relevant ones. As per sending more information, I am thinking of preparing a letter signed by both of us saying what is included in the small package, and attach more pictures, more plane tickets, say by how much our Skype log increased since the application was sent. I also wanted to show some bills of me buying stuff for our future daughter here in Canada. Then I want to put it all in an envelope and send to Warsaw by courier. My concern is just that they will either not add it to the application, or not take into consideration. But at least we will do our best. Let me know what you want to send, and how you want to send it please.
