Hi folks,
.Kindly help
I have a sibling in Canada for which I received 15 points...His passport bears father name without surname as (aligned with updated passport) and my passport bears y father name with surname . Now this creates a discrepancy in both of our passports that our fathersf name now do not match.I have another supporting documents like birth certificate of both of us. And dad's defence family card which shows family tree.I have received ITA with days left as 80.Kindly guide/advise what should I do to continue my file being smooth . Can this cause my file rejection??

Of course you can, you are related by blood. Google express entry intake to know the documents required.
Thanks buddy, what documentary proofs I can use. Can I use DNA report from CIC approved lab?

Hey everyone,

I apologise if this has been covered in another thread but if someone has the information to help me out I would really appreciate it.

I am applying for PR through the Canadian experience class. I have a common law partner who is a Canadian Citizen and she has Canadian Siblings. Can I claim the sibling associated points or not as my common law is already a citizen of canada?

Thanks very much!

Hello everyone,

I am going to claim points for sibling as my brother has landed in Toronto in march and PR card is also in hand now.

The problem is he is still residing in different Air BnB locations. No permanent home yet. So what is the address proof i can give when they ask for residing proof.

2nd .... How many months bank statement is required to show them of my brother who is in Toronto. Is there a minimum like 3 months etc ? is it specified anywhere because i cannot find it anywhere

hi would be grateful if someone could help me with my problem.
my brother got his pr 6 months back and he left Canada as he was offered a promotion in his company in dubai.but his wife and children are still there in Canada and the lease of the house is in his wife name.he visits them often and intends to permanently come to Canada by March 2019.i want to inquire if i can claim 15 points for my sibling as this will significantly boost my score.

Utility bill and/or bank or credit card statements to prove the sibling is actually living there... and you're right no actual minimum time specified...my personal guess is a few months should be OK..

Hi all. I received an ITA on 2 April and I am planning to apply by this month end. My brother had also applied for his PR and yesterday he got the passport request. My query is that If I mention that my brother has got PR my points will increase. So does that mean i will re enter the pool and this ITA gets cancelled? He still has not received the PR. Will it be ok if I just mention that in LOE rather than chaning it in my profile?

If you already received ITA, why are you looking to increase your points ? Anyway, you can make changes to your profile anytime before submission, and explain the same in your LOE. Your points will get recalculated based on the change in your circumstances. Unless your points drop below the min cut off points for your round of invitations, you don't need to decline your invitation. Only if you decline your ITA will it get cancelled and you will re-enter the pool.

Having received his passport request DOES NOT mean he's a PR. Only when he completes the landing process he'll become one. At this point you still have to answer "no" to having a relative who is a PR.

He is already living in Canada and he will get his Passport stamped in two weeks time. So I will have to say yes as I am planning to apply by month end

I am in a dire situation. My sister resides in Red Deer, Alberta currently , but all her bank statement is in Edmonton's address, where she first landed, plus the utility bills are in the name of landlord and as weird as it gets , she seems , not to have a single document, which tells that she is currently residing in Canada. The health card even has got Edmonton's address . Apart from driving test , is there anyway , she can get a document proving her address? Its been a year she landed , but ... Does not have a single document.

Does she has any other utility bill such as mobile bill or internet bill. If she rides in landlord home then she must have lease agreement or something.
