You do not get points added to your CRS for having any relatives in Canada. However, in addition to the CRS score, CIC assesses federal skilled worker (FSW) applications based on six selection factors as well, where you need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 on the FSW grid
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp. On the FSW grid you get 5 points for Canadian relatives provided they fall under one of the following.
- parent,
- grandparent,
- child,
- grandchild,
- child of a parent (sibling),
- child of a grandparent (aunt or uncle), or
- grandchild of a parent (niece or nephew), who is
- living in Canada
- 18 years or older and
