Dear All,

I am the primary applicant but do not have the required funds to show. My spouse ,who will be accompanying me ,has transferred money to my account and i've created an FD out of the same. My questions :

1. Is it ok to show all the funds as FD?
2. Are FD receipt and bank letter sufficient documents?
3. My husband will be making a gift deed mentioning that the amount has been transferred by him to my account to show as POF for Canada Immigration. He will also mention that it is a gift and need not be returned. Will this be good enough or are we missing something important?

Please help with your insights. Thanks.

1. yes, I had shown all funds in form of fd.
2. yes, I shown only original FD and bank letter.

3. if your spouse was accompanying you then there was no need to have money transferred. No as you have already done that so get a gift deed, affidavit and also explain all this in letter of explanation.

Thanks for the prompt response.
Is it ok if we mention in the gift deed that the amount is to be used for Canada immigration? I'm asking since I've been reading everywhere that it's important to keep things as transparent as possible for CIC. In gift deed and LOE everywhere we plan to mention that it will be used for immigration POF. Is that OK?

Once u show them the FD and LOE along with the deed and mention the amount in CAD as per the requirement for immigration purpose in detail then it will be fine
