I am reading discreetely that one on PNP is not allowed to leave the province for say 3 yrs or so to get PR. Is this true ? What is the rule, can anyone give me link to this rule ?
Is it true, that one should be required to stay continuous 3 yrs in that province. i.e. if Person goes back to his/her native country for say around a max month say in a year, is that a case that person stands poor chance to qualify for PR ?

You have misunderstood the process. Applying for a PNP nomination means you have to qualify under whatever category you apply under. In some cases, people are not even in Canada already when applying for nomination. Once you have your nomination, you apply for PR.

In some cases, for example when applying as a worker, you must stay with the employer who sponsored you until you get PR in which case you can not just quit your job and go back home in the middle of your processing. If you took a months vacation however and your employer is ok with that, then there is no problem.

Once you have your PR, you could actually leave but because you sign a statement for PNP stating that you will settle in that province, it would be safer to stay there for at least a couple of months after landing. There are no rules regarding minimum time you must stay after getting PR but if you leave right away, it looks bad for you because it means you lied when you landed.

Thanks Leon for your response ...

From your response it appears to me one should stick to an employer who is sponsoring your PNP. If any other employer wish to hire me from the same province would it start the PR process from the beginning or since it is same province; it could continue normally.

Also if I happen to get married meanwhile, would PNP status allows dependent to work legally?

You should ask the PNP in your province about the details but from what I was told by AINP some time ago, if they hear that you are no longer working for the employer who sponsored you, they will cancel your application and you have to start again from scratch, new employer has to sponsor you for PNP, you need to get the nomination again, apply for PR again etc.

If you get married, you must ask the PNP to add your new spouse to your PNP application or if you are already at the stage of applying for PR after PNP nomination, you have to add your spouse to your PR application. The PNP itself will not allow your spouse to work but you being in Canada on a skilled work permit will allow the spouse to apply for an open work permit.
