Hello Everyone

Is it possible for a protected person to apply for PR through another regular immigration stream (like PNP, Express Entry or EMPP for example) but NOT as a protected person?

If this is possible, would this be a faster route than applying for PR as a protected person?

Getting PR as a protected person could take at least 2.5 years and quite possibly more than 3 years considering the current backlog. For a family to be reunited with the protected person, it may take up to 4 years or even more, on top of the time spent waiting for getting the protected person status :(

I'm not expert. But what I read before is no. That's why asylum is last option. It's completely limited and must use as last option to stay in Canada and if You really need it. Do a resesrch in serious websites but that's probably the inf You Will find.
So sorry. All in this forum are in same situation. Just keep going and with hope.

No - not possible. Asylum claimants / protected individuals are excluded from these programs.

Thank you for your reply. I'm still doing more research on this..
You are absolutely right: we have to be patient and hopeful.
Thank you again.

Yes, I'm here safe, thanks to Canada's government. It's a true blessing that many take for granted and don't appreciate enough.

Not me. I fully appreciate it that I am safe here, especially that I have seen and continue to see endless sufferings and horrors in my own home country and in other places like the ongoing genocide and famine in Gaza.

Yes, I am safe here, but I am concerned and worried about the safety of my family. This is why I hope that they can join me here in Canada, not only because we miss each other, but more importantly because I want them to be safe.

Dont mind Bad intention messages. Here we are safe. That's true But it is normal You want to reunite with your family. Be separated For years is sad, frustrating and mentally discouraging . If somebody is not able to understand that and empathize, You just dismiss the comment.
