You can find the initials of the visa officer at your GCMS notes. If you have not ordered that then you can only find your paper file number which is seen in their email subject line following your case number.

hello thanks for the info, but im curious about GCMS what does it mean?

what i have found only is my UCI and application number on their email message. in the subject field it does not shown any sign of the initials of the visa officer. ;D

GCMS notes means General Case Management System notes, if you are in canada you can order it to see all the information about your case, if not, ask any friend of yours who is canadian to do it for you, but you need to fill a certain form to authorize hime doing so. It is a useful document where you can find all the notes and information regarding you application. It costs only CAN$5.

Google GCMS notes and you will get more detailed information.

i studied the previous messages on this group and I have found that some of our senior friends here received their ppr within 2 week above, example is ms. phoem ;D

for all members who are currently in UAE that's planning to submit their PP in person at the canadian embassy in abu dhabi..just wanna share my experience..

my wife and i submitted our PP yesterday. it was really really quick.. we arrived at the embassy at 9.03 to be exact our waiting number was already number 3. then the filipino guard told us that they will start calling numbers at 9.30 so we waited. by the way only the principal applicant will be allowed to enter the office. when my time comes the officer ask for the passport and additional documents. She first check the page in the PPR letter stating what other documents we need to submit. ( i think it's page 3..)
in our case the docs we submitted was the CENOMAR.
so when she finished checking our docs she stamped that page (from PPR letter.. only that page should be included in the submission) then she told me we will return your passport within 10 days. one more thing we included the return airway bill from aramex. I suggest before going there be sure to have the retrun airwaybill for i didnt see any aramex near the embassy

in total i only spent 10 mins inside the embassy.. process was really quick..
we travel from sharjah to abu dhabi 2.5 hours..hahha but its all worth it..
by the way they only accept passports from 9.30-11.30 monday and wednesday ONLy..

im waitng for "DM" on my e-cas..i still have 10 days waiting period i have waited long enough sure i can wait for another 10 days more..hahaha
