If you dont mention ADVO in your PR application
To CIO it will be returned to you as I know

It's not true that CIO will send your file to the VO as indicated in your application. CIO has the prerogative to send your file to the VO that can BEST serve their needs (i.e. background check, etc.). I have mentioned MANILA in my application but my file ended-up in ADVO. This is because I have been residing in KSA mostly for the past 17 years!

I have joined another thread here which tracks March/April applications to CIO, after noticing that some of the applicants whose VO is Manila have received their MR's already even if I have received my AOR much ahead of them; I got alarmed. So, I have sent an email to Manila VO asking them about the status of my application. Since I suspect also that my file ended-up in ADVO, I sent them an email also inquiring whether my file was mistakenly sent to them despite the fact that I have indicated Manila as my VO. Also, I have sent an email to CIO asking the whereabouts of my file.

I received email replies in succession (a difference of few days) from Manila VO and CIO that my file is in ADVO.

Dear my story is also same as you have expressed. I sent many emails to to ADVO, LVO, ISLAMABAD VO. and CIO, LVO. told me we have no record, ISB.VO no reply . CIO told me that our record shows ur file is in ADVO . After one year ADVO told me that your file is in que and when time will come and officer will review ,
MAY, 2013 they changed my status form application received to START PROCESS and then in june 2013 additional documents , after that still no update form ADVO.

and your immigration file number which is starting with EP********* OR ur UCI no. and send them mail in detail, i hope they will only inform about your Visa Office not the status of your file, and then later you can communicate with your visa office directly. good luck.

Done with the medical (al zahra) almost all nurses are filipino and very accommodating it took us less than 30 minutes and we started 30 mnutes before our exact appointment. Well all we need to do is to sit and relax and wait for the PPR. Goodluck to all.
