Good day all,

By today, 4th April, i have turned my 6 month processing time ( applied in Oct ) for outland Ontario PR application and there are no updates to my account for so long ( should be waiting for the final step .. PPR )
I am wondering if there are similar cases ?

Please share you experience ... thanks in advance

No update since then, called cic today. The agent said Eligibility, criminality,medical are all passed but security has not started. Does anyone know how long this takes?

Exactly same timeline. Everything passed but security not started. Absolutely got no idea why these Agents don't start the SC. If true, how stupid it would be to make someone wait for 18 months just because the processing time is 18 months.

I really don't understand how those people work, it obviously shows that you can get your PPR within 8 months but they intentionally make people wait for reasons best know to them, making one go thought another extension of work permit. Express entry applicants don't have 10 heads, they submit everything like we do. This system Is messed up

well that's why it's called EXPRESS entry, you get processed faster. and naturally they get more IRCC resources allocated, therefore the processing times are much faster. I suspect CBSA, CSIS who perform the security check also treat EE applicants as a priority, which leaves us at the end of the queue.
