Yeah I was also worrying about this, but my agent said the new digitalized system would only help to save the time of shipping documents and uploading to their system, and the following steps and processing time are estimated to be similar to paper-based applications.
Please could you advise on the following:
1) How do you know you have been invited for Medical?
2) For those that did upfront medical and submitted the Medical Information using the webform, how long can this be updated on the profile?
3) And Finally how do you know if you have passed MD, Criminal checks, etc looking at your profile

1- You will receive a message in your online GC KEY account in form of Medical Request. You need to book an appointment with panel physician after that If you haven't done upfront medical. Take this paper printed and take with you at the clinic.

2- Usually you need to send an e-medical sheets via webform. It is also known as the tracking sheet so it would be easy for the officer to find your upfront medicals. Webforms take time nowadays but If you have done upfront medical, I would recommend you to send it via webform. You will get a response of webform within 15 to 20 days. Again I can't say there is stipulated time frame to get updated your upfront medicals in the profile.

3- You can simply call to CIC so that you can get to know If you have passed your criminality etc. For medicals, you will see in your online account that you have passed your medical exam.

It depends. Usually it does within a month and some times it takes more time. What's your timeline?
Upfront Medical done and information sheet sent to CIC via Web form four days ago
