No one is going to call anyone certainly not provincial offices. Unless ircc asks for the updated information from you

Mine will be 18 months at the end of April.
Never had any issues with security whatsoever, Got USA visa easily ,Never been stopped at the Airport Ever, Always got the Visa easily, No rejection whatsoever but now, Security background check in process from 27th December.
Couple of my friends from December 2016 got their PPR in February 2018.

Do not understand their procedures at all.

Never had any issues with security whatsoever, Got USA visa easily ,Never been stopped at the Airport Ever, Always got the Visa easily, No rejection whatsoever but now, Security background check in process from 27th December.

Me too, have had Schengen, UK, Australian US visas multiple times, now being screwed by CBSA / CSIS / IRCC.

We are in the same boat .getting 18 months end of this month still security check giving me problem .just called to cic they said we are chacking background I have no idea what they are checking .and also he said wait for end of summer you ll get you are pr

So both of my friends are from Pakistan who got their PPR in February and I am from Pakistan too.
