i have received my UCI number on 25 march 2015 and waiting for medicals :-( till today. Is it possible if sponsors can call cic and ask them to speed up the process ??? I think its a good idea but will this make any difference ?????

U can download that from cic website. Simple. I am pretty sure everybody here have done the same

Calling the CIC to request faster processing is just a bad idea, on any front. CIC works on its own timetable and any inquiries typically slows down the application if anything, it rarely will speed anything up. Unfortunately, that's how they have the system setup, they are in total control of how long it takes to process.

What you can do, if its been an extraordinarily long amount of time (6+ months of waiting) is try to call the call centre and see if they can find out what is going on, but you wouldn't ask them to speed it up, you'd just ask them why its been an abnormally high amount of time and they'd do what they could.

Since your case doesn't sound like a 6+ month wait since the last notification (the end of March is barely over 2 months), I'd just wait. We're all in this together and the wait is painful, but it is what it is!

So I just called CIC Helpline to inquire regarding my ECAS not being updated to show "Medical Received". My and my spouse's medicals were sent on May 3rd while my daughter's medical was not sent as she is already citizen. The agent at call center laughed and said that it surely is a mistake and you do not have to worry about it. I asked him if he can provide me info if my medicals have been received or not and he said that he can view the information but can not share it until the processing time has passed. He told me to wait for a response from CIO Sydney to your email regarding the same. He also said that it might take upto 3 months for ECAS to be updated as the medical result get verified after they are submitted by the doctor. Now I dont know what he meant by that, if they verify medical history or something.

As long as the official CIC agent said not to worry, it sounds like you don't have anything to worry about. Good news.

It seems like they have very random medical received times. I did my medical 4th of May, it was listed as received on 23rd of May. Sometimes it takes a few weeks or months.

Check your Ecas...we are going in the same boat i got mine shows medical received today...the whole day i was checking, nothing to show..but today at this time at night (12:12) it says "Medical Received"
Lets see what they ll ask next?

Oh my!! Thank god I'm back in this forum.. 4 days I was banned posting here without any reason at all, but in the bright side I report to the moderator nd instantly emailed me that they have technical glitch in thier system..

Anyway, yesterday I got my MR. God is good!

I'm Nov. 12th applicant.
I have friend who applied 5 days after me and we had all steps within this 5 days but not MR.
He called CIC after 1 month and they told him that his papers are send to Australia and that ambassys procedure is to send MR close to last payment but it will be same timeline as mine from NS.
No worries.
We are all under stress, hope this helps you somehow.

I'm Nov. 24th applicant.

I equally received reply to my mail from Sydney that my application has been forwarded to Accra, I then wrote accra but got the usual response
...
"Please be advised that your application is currently in queue for review; however an exact schedule is not available at this time. As you know, all applications are reviewed in the order in which they were received.
.................................
..........

No further action is required by you at this time.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum. "
