Select Receipt Number IMM 5401

Hello sir jimmylama,

I noticed you know almost everything on PR process.. May I ask if you happen to know where do my son need to submit his passport during passport request? He is in the Philippines. Do I need to ask my mother to send his passport here so that when we receive PPR I can submit his passport to Ottawa together with mine? Does My son still need his passport in the Philippines? Cause I heard that he needs to see a doctor for height and eye color? Is that true?

Please share your thoughts.

Thank you!

Let us all pray that we get our PPR soon.

Congratulations rgeorge and abhispat. ..

Thank you alll................. :D

Hi everyone

Has anyone here gone thru the entire process of submitting an application for PR to CIC and received their visa? I would appreciate if you could give us an idea of the timeline since submitting the PR application to CIC till receiving the visa...and at what stages do they ask for updated bank statements? Does the visa office in my country of residence ask for such bank statements at some point?
Also in my nomination email dated 27 January 2016 they say that the aplication for PR to CIC will be submitted electronically, so no sending any hard copies at all to the CIO??

Appreciate your kind feedback

Here's the funny thing: I asked CIC to refund me the cost of the BOWP application - which they promised they would when I called them. I was told that, because the BOWP application hadn't even been looked at yet, they would put a note on the file, and I would receive a refund and it would be cancelled as soon as they looked at it. About 6-8 weeks, she said.

Well, here I am 6 months later, and they still haven't refunded me that fee... not that I'm bitter or anything(!)
I phoned CIC, and as it turns out they have just refunded me!... about 4 days ago. Good job, lads. :P

Still, I can't complain TOO much... ;)
