I'm hoping so - I have one from when I applied for the IEC permit - so I keep trying that on the 'check application status' bit of the CIC site, in the hope I might see some progress quicker than an email or mailed AOR. Nothing yet, though...

UCI under PR application gets activated only after few days of receiving email on application acceptance with uci. So i think that they activate it after they complete processing the initial step of the application. People tried immediately after receiving uci but its not available online. So i guess we will have to wait for email first . Of course i too try to check online status often but not showing up yet.
