We may know from the VO's correspondence after AOR or we can send email or call CIO asking for the information. If MR comes right after AOR or in a week than it's Ottowa. :)

Ok. I am thinking this year it will be fast but little slower than EE PR applications. I think thats what CIC is aiming for. 3-4 years of processing is gone hence they are targeting within 1 year for everyone.

Let them take more time than EE. I'd be more than happy if I get PPR by dec.

Have you applied for SINP EE?

I'm pretty sure we will get the visa way before if we even apply under EE.
If you apply for EE now probably it will minimum take 5-6 months and CIC takes six months so total it's 10 months from now. If we wait patiently for the current one will get it by 10 months if God want :)

FSWCIO, can you please breakdown the timeline of CIC's process from application received till visa stamping for this year as it seems to be speedy in 2015

As of current speed of CIC my prediction:

Application submission to XEP : 2 months
XEP to EP : 1 month
EP to MR: 1 To 2 months
MR to PPR: 2 months

That's the maximum time period they should take to finalize an application. Total process shouldn't take more than 7 Months. :)

My friend, Just read Latest news related to Local Visa Offices here:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/local-visa-offices-news-latest-news-about-all-canadian-visa-offices-t303913.0.html

I posted the latest real processing time of the different local visa offices there.

If you know where CIO will send your application then you can calculate when will you receive your visa!

I myself will get my visa (If anything be fine in my application and my application reach to Paris Visa Office) in FEB 2016! ;) :P

Hi Everyone!

Please help!!!
I applied for an extension of my work permit online under LMIA exempt category as I got my pnp approved. But, the problem is I applied on the same day my work permit was suppose to expire. Also, I made a mistake because I was in hurry to apply. Where it ask to select your current country of residence and current status in form IMM5710 - I selected Canada and Worker but Wrote the wrong date in "To" and "From" category. Will CIC reject my application? Should I withdraw it? But, then I wont be under implied status :(

Please reply!!!
Thanks

They will not reject your file for wrong to and form dates. They are well trained to realize such mistake in forms. They may ask updated form or if you are lucky may ignore those dates. Best of luck. :)

Do we have the option to choose the visa office or it will directed from the CIO automatically?

No option my friend. It used to be before but not now.
But seems CIC doing good job now by sending our files to fastest VO by themselves. :)

some visa offices give unfair chances to candidates I just read about in the threads of Visa offices depending on their religion or origin and this is untraceable by the centralized office for this reason I was asking ::) ::)
