Damn! I just called cic to see why im not getting neither XEP neither EP. Lady on phone even didnt want to look my file. I explained that people who applied after me are getting file numbers and i dont. She replied that I should wait 18 weeks (!) and then only call.. Wtf
Last time agent (a guy, guys always nicer) told me right away whats going on and that payment was not good.

Yesterday I worried sick about my file will get returned for the second time because I got Nominate from BC and they will not extend the Nominee paper and mine expired on July 15th. So I phoned Call Centre did not ask my UCI Number or anything and said its take 18 weeks SO its not my turn yet coz My file reached their on May 1st. She said I will hear something from CIO by August. Then I turn on my computer thinking of printing all documents and submit again before July 15th if I still not hear anything by then as my plan B. I check an email first and what a big relieve I have got an Email from CIO with XEP number. Hope you are the same....
In the meantime, prepare the documents in case you have to file again before the expiration of your nominee paper....

My nominee expired long time ago. I applied first time december 2014 and my ainp till april 25th 2015. 2nd time i aplied april 20th. So i should be good. But if they will retutn it again its such a head ache to reinstate it and takes 30 days.
Ainp extend your nomination only once. I really dont know what to do.
Because what if i extend ainp now and later there will be afain problem with cio or ottawa and they will send back and I already used my only opportunity to extend ainp.
I will try better luck with other agent on phone.
What was your agents name you remember?

Anatalia....I know how you feel. Have you tried phone them yet? Can they trace your file at all? What is going on with it? I just read all your previous comment... Feel sorry for you that you have lost your 5 months on last submitted application that got returned. Keep calling them in case they can look into it. I did yesterday morning and the Call Centre agent said the processing time to issue the AOR is 18 weeks so its not up to my turn yet as mine reached there on May 1st So it might be somewhere in August. Hope you will get your XEP# soon cause seem they are speed up now. I did same thing as you did for the second time. Made payment online print out and submit it.

Im worried now because i included the old highlighted credit card form (I feel stupid now) and highlighted form where they wrote why it was returned to me. All these along with the new receipt and my personal cover letter saying that I was returned it due to bla bla and now Im enclosing a new payment receipt bla bla. But what if the officer/agent will not read my cover letter and will decide i attached another credit form (old) along with the new online receipt and wont like it. Plus Im from the country which every canadian hates now due to politics going on in news.

First of all congratulation!!!

If your file number starts with X and you already got receipt of payment than consider it ready to process. You'd just get a AOR very soon which would include the same number excluding the X at front.
As CIO introduced XEP earlier so it could be a system glitch that all completed application getting XEP first while the application is fully complete. Just wait for the AOR email. In the meantime you can check your application status online whether if it's active using the same XEP number without the X. Best of luck...

I think its due to more colleages applied to CIO in May.

My application was received on May 8 from outside. Till now, I have not received my fn. I paid for the fee by my credit card in advance. Many people who sent their applications to Cio later than me have received their fns. I forgot to add my studying period to Background declaration, which says that without this missing period, my application will be delayed. Could they return my application for such a lapse? I am realllly worried about it. Help me, guys. Thanks a lot! Undecided
