Sorry ma'friend, nothing you can do to speed the process up. You can certainly call cic offices and complain or ask for help but they will end up telling you "we are processing your file and everything is normal" as for immigration lawyers, I don't trust them. If you keep reading it this thread, you will see how much lawyers have messed up with others application without even taking responsability for their stupidity. Anyway dude, good luck and be patienceHi guys,
I've read a little bit and I am in shock right now.... How is it even possible that you've been waiting since summer 2016 or longer? I applied last summer (2017) and now I am concerned that my PPR will not come until summer 2019... this is just not normal... Crazyyyyy
Has anyone of you got an immigration consultant/agent to assist you when you've applied? Has any of you consulted with one after the deadline of 16 months past? Is there anything you can do to expedite the final decision on your application? there must be a way, right? what if your application just got lost/forgotten/misplaced/or someone screwed things up and unless you voice this issue nothing will happen? is it a possibility?
Or is it acceptable and absolutely nothing can be done on our end? Do we just wait and hope that our applications will be among 40% of the applicants whose applications successfully approved withing the deadline?? t
I am asking in case I wont hear from IRCC after 15-19 months from my AOR date?
August 2016 here. Yup, there is pretty much nothing we can do. CIC responds to our inquiries with copy and paste canned reply, they respond to MP requests with the same info you can see in you online application status. It takes as long as it takes, end of story.Hi guys,

This is how it goes, be ready for it. as @antonpa said there is nothing really we can do, I believe everybody here has already tried different ways to do anything to speed up the process but the outcome is 0. Only wait unfortunately that's what we have to do.Hi guys,

Hi there,
I am 8 Aug 2016 applicant, just got letter requesting an interview at CIC office in 5353 Dundas West next week - 29 Aug, detailing all documents to bring for closing up the application " We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview that is scheduled for 10:00 AM on AUG. 29, 2018. Your interview will be conducted at:xxxxxxxxx"
Not sure what else CIC wants to know from the interview.
I will keep you posted next week.
Hope yours will be coming soon.

There is always a way out. I read in thread that one can get immigration lawyer, please take note -not immigration consultant. The guy got immigration lawyer to sue IRCC for “Order of Mandamus” this can only be done when your file is over 30-36months. The guy advised that when trying to sue for Order of Mandamus, many lawyers may want to discourage you but if you do they will hasten to get your PR out even before the court hearing date. Infact look for the thread on how to order for mandamus for details. Hope this info will help some people. All the bestHi guys,
