One of my friend had his file received on august 10 2016 got ppr today.

Hi guys, i am sept 23, 2016 applicant, got aor in dec 2016. no medical request yet. called cic they said everything is going well in your file and they are waiting for security check approval. i don't know how long that's gonna take? i thought they always process security check after medical being done.

may be you have done upfront medical ?? or your previous medical for wp was valid.

Received passport request Feb 2nd @ 10 pm. However, request is only for me to send passport to Ottawa. I added my wife in my application (who is outside of Canada). Now will have to write an email to CIC to arrange her visa at local visa office as stated in the email - Is there anyone with similar case - do I have to write something specific in that email?

Below is my timeline:
Application received: Aug 22nd, 2016.
Medical submitted: Nov 17th, 2017
PPR: Feb 2nd, 2018.

CIC website still shows BGIP and application in process.

no, i didn't do any medical. i did my medical in 2012 when i applied for study permit from india.

Hello All, I am a September 8th applicant and planning to travel from March 3rd till 21st. In the mean time if I receive PPR will I be able to extend the passport submission date ? Any experience on this ? Thanks for your time.

yea, i applied as single and then added spouse in 2017. But still security check should be done after medical request. right?
