What's more infuriating is taking 19 months to process people that have already been pre-screened by the Provincial Nominee Streams and who hold degrees in Canada, have money in a savings account, have good IELTs scores and spent 1500 dollars for a nomination while other, less qualified people get processing times, 3, 4 even 5 times faster.

Talking about luck...19 months of waiting this time!!! I am so pissed right now!! I thought i am almost at the finish line. Now they have added 1 more month to the waiting. After June or July they might change it to 20 monhts or so. Good job CIC!! This is insane!!

F..k this.. everone here should post feedback here to improve the process. I did submit the feedback and raise my voice to improve the process structure.

Honestly I think without media coverage and news stories covering how incompetent CIC is nothing will ever change. The average Canadian with voting rights has no idea of how immigrating works so there is no incentive to improve or have any transparency to the process.

Then we need media coverage. If we continue to quietly wait, nothing will ever change. I wrote to CBC and CTV on Twitter. They may ignore me, but if more people add their voice, they may as well listen

KasparK, have you called cic regarding your application recently?
If so, what have they told you?

I'm still under the 18 months timeframe so I honestly would rather not bug them before it goes over that. Hopefully all of us will get it soon and prove to them that Canada is losing a fortune in keeping qualified, highly educated immigrants in waiting limbo for all this time. :)

AND WE PAY F***ING TAXES
Well you didn’t complete the whole sentence! Yes! We do pay taxes AND WE RECEIVE equal benefits as of a canadian! Their forefathers been giving taxes from generations and here we are...came 2-3 years ago! And utilizing all the benefits this country has to offer. The taxes you pay are just same, as you would pay if you were in your own home country. The valid point would be the only difference is we have Canadian education and Canadian work experience.
