Like what if i phone them? What if I go to MP? What if i send web form inquiry? How long they take to answer any web form inquiries? Responses will be appreciated. Thank you ☹️

Hello. Did they tell you that they are going to issue PPR for the people who got DM on 29 in next batch? Am I right?

It is very nice news. Hopefully we will get PPR by the end of this week. I am tired to see on environment on my working place. Just wanna change all bad things.
He just gave me general statement saying it usually takes one week to get PPR after DM, than he looked at my file and was like you will get it by end of this week. I dont believe what Call agent say always. But usually looking at current scenario, I see PPR takes one week after DM.

Same here, no worries. as long as in implied status, it is ok to stay within Canada. And if you get PR before work permit, you can apply for a refund.

Does anyone knows the extension to speak to cic call center agent? i tried this morning but I didn't heard any option about to speak to call center agent.

anyone going to US border for landing from Winnipeg and have 2 places in car? Please let's team up, me and my spouse just received our passports back, but we don't own a car. We can pay if you let us to come with you. We are very flexible any time works. Thanks!

We never traveled, there are not many applicants from our country, police record and other documents are processed in 1 week in our country. So maybe any of these reasons or all together played a role that they processed our application "faster". Sorry

I have the same timeline (applied 11 April, 2016) along with my wife as dependent.
Now twist is, our work permits are getting expired on 23 August, 2017.
Looks like my PPR should be in August 2017 approximately.
In this situation should I spend another $520 (2 people) for work permit extension application or Is there any way to save it..??

Thanks in advance

You need to have CoPR before your WP expires as you're supposed to be in valid legal status when you're landing. Note that PPR doesn't mean your PR application is final.

If you want, drag your feet as much as possible, saying until the last week of your current WP.
Prepare all documents and applications ready in myCIC for your next WP, and do not submit it until a couple days before your WP expires. If you don't get CoPR (not PPR) until then, submit it. You will fall into implied status until your next WP issued. When CoPR is in hands and your WP application is still pending, you can withdraw WP application after landing. The withdrawal will issue a full refund.

I would suggest you not to save pennies for bucks.
