I applied GCMS note on May 24, didn't receive the email yet. Nothing can do, keep waiting.......So tired and frustrated for those officer.
You can keep asking the MP to inquire again, once every 2 weeks, after your passing 16 months. Hope this could help your case get attention from the visa officer

Thanks everyone for being a part of this forum... it helped me a lot providing all kinds of Mental support throughout this Process of AINP & Federal Processing...
All the very best to everyone who is waiting...

My MP's secretary was the one who called CIC. Their conversation will probably be put in your official GMCS notes. Keep on doing that, you will gain more attention from your visa officer. Do not call CIC yourself, they will just beat you around the bush . I just crossed 15 months now, so I won't bother my MP and CIC again yet.

"Information Centre for Members of Parliament and Senators" is the place where MPs obtain case related information. Looks like they do not contact IRCC directly. They have their own information source.

Hi guys,

I have already crossed the border and became a Permanent Resident on June 10,2017.

I had applied for wp extension before , do I need to withdraw that application or cic will do itself?

and I had also applied through paper base application and paid RPRF fee upfront , should I withdraw now to get the Refund?

any replies will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You have to request a refund explicitly. it only works ig they have not processed your work permit. Good luck requesting it as early as possible
