What is going with early Jan applicants?
Many of them are waiting for DM while March applicants have gotten PPR.
I cannot believe this unfairness of CIC.
I totally agree with you.
I called CIC on Wednesday, they told me that I have passed every check. But they are finalizing the case.
I don't know why it takes so long time for them to finalize that.
I am Jan 8, 2016 applicant.

Hi
I have a question regarding this , I am in similar situation and my BOWP expires on 1 November 2017. I had got medical request on 1 November 16 and it has been 8 months now since I submitted my medicals and nothing has changed on my Ecas. I am worried whether my BOWP can be extended or I have to leave the country. I work as full time accountant and my employer is asking me questions about my continuity as employee due to my status in canada (BOWP). Can someone please advise ?Thanks
Yes, you can certainly get an open work permit. I have applied for it twice :)
