Lol.
Seems like it.
I have seen one or two people who have had their processing done in about 12 months too.
I am starting to think, Additional doc request also plays a role in increasing the timeline. I remember, a lot of people including me got additional doc request in September 2016, and I think that pushed the due date forward by 60-90days.
I hope it doesn't, but it looks that way according to the present situation.
Background checking is from 2 months to 6 months, as I know, will vary the processing time btw applicants. If u r from a friendly country, no religious, never serve in politics/military, never have traffic tickets etc. it would be 2 months

Many congratulations who got their BG in progress,DM and or PPR.
I hope this is the month for Jan and Feb applicants.
My BG is still N/A. Did anyone get update about BG check ?

Does traffic tickets plays a role too?? What if I got fines in the past for passing the red light...

I agree. I am Jan 11 applicant and I am still waiting. I think it is taking more time because I am from Iran. It is frustrating.

Guys help if you can !

I am an inland applicant. I have done medical yesterday. My passport is expiring Jan 20,2018. Will CIC request for passport for visa stamp? Do I need a visa for landing?
Should I renew my passport now since it has be valid for at least 6 months?

Let me know please! Thanks

I think you should renew it. You never know how much time CIC would take to send you PPR. By the time you receive PPR you may left with less time in regards to your passport validity.

how long does it take approximately to get ppr after medicals pass inland applicant.
TIA :)
