My workpermit is going to expire in June. applying for Bridging Open Work Permit. I am applying online and stuck with this question

Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada

Any you who applied BOWP please help

You can find it under one of following: Eligibility, Criminality, Medical, Security. Just look more carefully again.

Maybe you should seek legal aid. Was the accident job related? How long had you been working for the company? Even though you are on a closed work permit, you do have some rights. You should consult a professional about that.

They are asking if you have received an Acknowledgement Of Receipt letter to prove that you are eligible for permanent residence. If you have not as yet, try and get a letter of support from the Provincial Nomination office that issued you a certificate of nomination.

Thank you for your reply. No, I was going to home after my job. I was working for company for 15 months. What kind of rights do I have? I am sorry, I dont know about it. I check with one lawyer and told me get another job and another work permit. ??? But, its really tough situation for me. From this forum and from sources it seems like most of people get PPR after 45 days when they passed medical exams. But, I am not sure that it would be case for me ? Do you have any idea about this ?
Once again, Thank you very much for your help. :)

Hi guys!

I have got the updates. Recently, I contacted my the MP about the due date and medical request. Then my local MP contacted IRCC office. So, here is a note from him:

I did have a chance to speak to IRCC yesterday however and they indicated that your file is currently in process and that your background and criminality are still in process. They did note that your medical had expired, but this could be extended internally, so please do not get a medical unless you are requested to do so. The date of May 6 apparently not relevant to anything other than it may be a date they hope to have these items completed.

As you see guys, there are no guarantee that our applications will be finalized by due date. Like I have a hope that the decision will be made in May and PPR in June; and visa will be issued in July. So, in total will be 16 months of waiting. This date is also subject of change. I mean it is good idea to order extra GCMS-note right after due date.

Well what kinda organisation is that? Can you name it ? They cant let u go like that they have a responsibility of duty to accommodate you you can go to WCB (Worker Compensation Board too and u been there for quite a while i think you should consult ECB first and then take some legal action.

I guess you are late March 2016 applicant. Still January applicants are waiting for DM. So i guess it will take 2 or 3 months still to get DM for March 2016 applicants. No point of ordering GCMS notes now. I guess we should order GCMS notes after 1 month of medical pass. Usually 80% ppl gets DM right before due date. Some cases may take longer.

As you see, we are March applicants received AORs very fast ( in 1 month). I guess it happened to us, because there were not many people nominated at early spring. That is why CIC started process our applications in 1 month since receiving of them.

According to my GCMS-notes my due date is 13 months sinice application was applied. Right now 11.5 months are gone and I still have not got even MR. So, we will see maybe miracle will be happened. Fingers crossed!
