Hi guys,

In one of the thread, someone mentioned that we need to provide certified true copies of our documents to be sent to CIC. Document checklist mentioned "copy" only. Does copy means certified true copy which includes passport/birth certificate (already in english)?

this is what you do, any of your documents that are not in English, you certify/notarize it, so the once with English, no need to notarize it

I didn't get MR yet, but I made appointment for MR as upfront after 2week.
I can't wait MR.. So frustrating..

Hello,

Are you planning on sending your Upfront medicals to cic via email?

Thanks

I guess, my doctor will send to CIC directly, also I will upload as case specific enquiry form after finish MR

I am planning to do the same. It's Two weeks waiting to get medicals appointment. If we finish before, it is valid for one year and we will save almost Two weeks process time.

If you are doing Upfront, the doctor will not upload it but you have to send it to cic via email with your PNP information because it's an Upfront and cic hasn't requested that from you

I know, After finish MR, Doctor will request about creating IME number & connecting with my UCI to cic.

Hi guys.

I have a question please. I have received that reminder email too. I'd like to upload a case specific enquiry. Now, which Type of application/enquiry should I choose?
Is it "verification of status, replacement and amendments of documents" ???

Its not that bad here in Calgary. Like there were open slots for even tomorrow but I am gonna follow yours and Sinabro's lead and just do upfront medical over the first weekend of October. Hopefully CIC send out our MRs by then.

Thanks. :) Good to hear this so don't need to pay extra for notary. :)

Should be amendments of documents.

Any one experienced the following?

On Sept. 19, I got an email from CIC that my application has been updated. I logged into CIC to check my linked application and noticed something weird.

"A background check is needed" changed from "In progress" to "Not needed at this time". This look backwards to me. Any one can shred some light on it? This is confusing.

Thanks.

It happens a lot so nothing much to worry about. If it goes back to in progress means you're about to get PPR request. Again its observation from expert members here and every case is different. There are few cases who have not notice any change on their background check just until couple hours before receiving PPR.

Thanks a bunch Hammer. I guess I am far away from getting PPR request as I haven't got MR (Medicals request) yet. The change of status kind of confused me. Thanks for your clarification on it. :)

Yeah, so wait for it going back in progress again (which could take another few months may be as you said you still waiting for medical). The pattern could be like this, you would get medical request, then medical passes and then back ground changes again in progress followed by PPR. This whole process will take up big chunk of processing time
