My VO is Singapore. Almost like your timeline. Got medical passed in August. Work permit application as well is way over 12 weeks, more than what cic states required to process work permit. Stressful and worried.

Hope this week brings something good.

Hi Vicky22, I'm at the same boat with you. But I have a concern:

1) My ECAS (Business Stream) shows latest status is: "Medical results have been received." (30/7/2016)
2) My friend's "myCIC" account" (Skilled Worker stream) shows "Medical passed" (30/7/2016)

I am worrying about the wording, it is clearly that "passed" is perfect, whilst my case is still waiting for final assessment on my medical results?!

Would you please share your experience regarding updated status in ECAS/ my CIC

myCIC is better updated than ECAS. I had the same situation and spoke to some other forum members about it, it is normal that ECAS will only be updated later or not at all. This is why a lot of applicants have been asked to link their accounts with myCIC.

I believe they want to do away in total with the ECAS system as it is old and outdated.

No need to worry, good thing will be coming your way shortly :P

Thanks guys for the info. Do you think it's a good idea I connect my PR application with myCIC? Would it confuse the ongoing process?

I have read on this thread about many different ways people get to link it. There seems to be some tricks to get it linked. Just keep on reading and trying and you will be successful.

As soon as you received AOR your status on mycic will show "review of eligiblity in process"

"security background is in progress" is a good sign and this means they are working on your application. Mine still says "not started" here.

It will not confuse anything. You will still receive all of your e-mails as usual at the same address. CIC is moving away from ECAS and has recently asked a lot of applicants to link to myCIC. You should do this as soon as possible in my opinion. Plus, there is more info on myCIC and it updates way faster than ECAS. I did my medicals and got is passed on myCIC, it only appeared on ECAS after 2 weeks and it only shows "medicals received", not even Passes like myCIC.

Thank you Druce,

Count down started for MR.... 8)

Friends I am very :'( :'( :'(Sad. My Paper based got delivered on 24 June at Sydney. Today I checked my Linked application status, my Application No. has changed to EP00230......., starting X omitted. And in "Details" section New message appears "Cancelled as Incomplete" in place of "Open". What can I do?

October applicants got their medical request yesterday.

Every case is different. For one applicant in given thread, PNP-paper based:

Application Received: Oct 27th, 2015
AOR: Feb 2nd, 2016
MR: August 7th, 2016

Anyway, nothing is in our hands. Just wait and see. ;)

finally I was able to connect my application to mycic.

Here's the helpful link:

Thanks for the link buddy. I am able to link it now. I am still wondering why CIC accepts number of applicants '1' where as I have dependents.

Hopefully, they will update it on time.
