PNP - PR - Jan-Feb-March 2016 Applicants

I applied for open work permit twice (in 2 years). First time I had to send a paper-based application because of some exceptions in my application and the second time was an online application. In the first application I did not receive any email or message that they received it. The only thing I had was a tracking code from Canada Post that the package was received by their office (I made the package signature required). The permit was mailed to me after 4 months.

March 14 applicant here. So my MP office followed up with CIC once again and they say it's just simple backlog. They hope that they could finish my application in December but it's more likely after new year... So I probably won't hear anything this year.

Hi guys,

I have been following this thread silently. I received my email requesting my passport last week. I am in Toronto and applied for my PR from Toronto. Below is my timeline.

Date application received: Jan 13, 2016
AOR: March 11, 2016
Medical request received: Jan 14, 2017
Passport request email received on Oct 31, 2017

(My CIC application status still shows "Review of Eligibility" and "Background check" in progress as of today, so the online application status is not reliable at all)

Congrats! after long waiting. it took them 22 months, its too much...
when you are saying Jan 8, 2016 applicant you meant your AOR date or application received?
