Same here and I just called cic, the agent told me just to ignore it, it is some kind of glitch.

Thanks! I was thinking about calling CIC and ask them! It's almost 20 months for me now, god I hope they speed things up.

So my wife got her passport with visa on Nov 5, 2017. Everything was on time after PPR. Now I retire from this crazy thing. Hope all you have yours very soon. Thanks all !

No but you can assume once your application approved, they email you saying there is an update in your CIC account.

From then it takes one or two days they send copr I think.

Mine was approved Saturday, and I received COPR Tuesday.

Please, could anyone who has information on this question kindly help. Thank you very much. How long does it take to get an email acknowledgement from IRCC when you apply for open work permit extension through the paper route?

I applied for open work permit twice (in 2 years). First time I had to send a paper-based application because of some exceptions in my application and the second time was an online application. In the first application I did not receive any email or message that they received it. The only thing I had was a tracking code from Canada Post that the package was received by their office (I made the package signature required). The permit was mailed to me after 4 months.
