Can we apply bridge work permit online ? Or is it better to apply paper based ?
Processing time for online is 38 days and paper based is 110 days .

I called CIC today and they told me that after AOR U'll receive another email saying that u meet the positive eligibility letter from CIC...only after getting that letter once can apply for bridge visa ....what do u say guys now ???? He clearly told me that if u send ur work permit extension letter only with AOR ur work permit application will be refused .....work permit will be given only if u have positive eligibility letter ....what do u say guys ????? It's so confusing ....!

as far as i have searched, if you applied under PNP stream and you have AOR but your nomination letter shows employer restriction as "yes", then you cannot apply BOWP.

But if it says "No" then you can apply BOWP on the basis of your AOR.

Yeah I know that....but I don't know if pnp receives PER email or not ....Couple of my friends who became PR last year they never got AOR ..They got PER along with file number .....but that CIC agent told me 2 times after talking with his supervisor that apply bridge visa when u get PER email ....I searched on this forum too....PNP applicants never mentioned abt PER on forum.....But 2014 applicants under FSW use to get PER..!

I am new in this forum.

There are two types of AOR sent by CIC.
- Just a email stating that your UCI number and AOR
- Second one is detail email showing UCI#, AOR and also stating that your application for PR has been complete as per the Regulation 10.

Which AOR did you receive ?

They told me same thing....I can't apply for bridge WP unless I get PER from cic ....I just got only AOR...I m going to call them again tomorrow morning.....!

I'll tell my experience as it may help.I just renewed my work permit less than 2 weeks ago.

I took a copy of the certificate of nomination and a copy of the work permit supporting letter from PNP along with my passport to the border. The CBSA officer asked if my employer paid the employer compliance fee which he hadn't done at that time. So, I had to go back and ask my employer to pay the $230 compliance fee and got a copy of the receipt. I went again to the border with payment receipt and they issued me a new work permit.

Yeah that's only if ur employer gave u LMIA.

Sorry, what is PER ?

PER Is Positive Eligibility Review....In the past FSW use to get this as their AOR.

According to CIC when I called them today...they said u can't apply BOWP even under PNP unless u gets PER email from them...
