Hi guys,

My 16 months are over today and good news is my work permit will expire in mid next month. I did my medical in end of January and since then I am waiting for PPR, like all other friends here. my question is should I wait to renew my work permit or apply for renewal now?

Because right now it shows 46 days of processing time for work permit and now let's say, if I apply on June 1st and if I don't get the new WP before the old one expire, so can I still be able to work with no status? because I don't want to waste money on renewal of WP on last stage of waiting period.

Any suggestion guys?

I am not sure if I am allow to apply Bowp. Although in my pnp paper it says : Restrictions on Employment - NO, but my pnp is based on my job offer, I am not allow to work for other employers until I get my PR. In this case should I extend my work permit for close work permit? Or can I still apply

If employment restriction is no u can apply bowp

If u will apply for new work permit before expiry of old one u will be allowed to work as 'implied status' under same conditions of previous work permit and dont let ur status expire then u cannot work.

I want to follow it.I see most of the people here are Inland Applicants.I have a friend who is outland and waiting for next step after MR from NDVO.Do you guys think the processing times are different for INLAND/OUTLAND applicants?

So, If I understand correctly, what you are saying is even though my old WP was expired and also I don't have new WP but my WP application is under process I can still work under "Implied status"?

Macky17 my timelines are exactly like yours. The past two days have been really though for not been able to connect who are waiting for any progress on their file as well. But thank god this website is back online.

I am checking my account 5-6 times daily and my background check says not able still. Waiting for some activity. If the pending Jan applicants are going to receive their PPR by the end of this month only god knows when will our turn come.

I hope our time come soon. I am also checking my cic and ECAS 4-5 times daily. Wish you all d best to all Jan & Feb applicants.

I wish you good luck. May you and me receive the PPR the same day. But it is disheartening there has not been even a change in our background check. I was expecting that to change by now before a decision is achieved.

I wish your words come true. Thank you ji. For some people as I have seen BG in progress not happening. So, we can get DM, PPR in same day.

When CIC has nothing to say they always put up the excuse of security check. But if they can process Express Entry within 6 months why so different with us?

I hate waiting too and its driving me nuts too but there is nothing we can do at this stage i guess.
