Got the passport request today!

Requested for an extension though cause we're travelling.

Btw my BG status is still "Not Applicable" and no changes in eCAS.

Anybody has any idea if I can use anyone else's address to get passport returned to? Mine is not too safe to receive this kind of documents. Or can I use PO box or smth?

I been driving my self crazy... Probability I should leave it alone, let it come when it wants to come by.

It lists several steps you gotta do:
1) update ur profile with any changes they dont know about;
2) find out if u need a visa (most do);
3) prepare documents (passports and photos);
4) send them w/return envelope.

So yes, u do need to make photos again.

· If you do not have a mailing address in Canada or the U.S.A, or if you are unable to submit the required documentation for you or your accompanying family members to the addresses below, please send an email to us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can send you instructions for submitting your documents to a visa office which is the most convenient for you. Please note that our office will not return passports to an address outside North America.

· If you have a mailing address in Canada:
- The pre-paid Xpresspost envelope must be from Canada Post. Please note that we will not return documents to a Canadian address via any other courier.
- Submit all documents by mail in a single package and send to the following address:
CPC – Ottawa – PR
PO Box 9780
Ottawa ON K1G 4B9

DO NOT FILL OUT THE ADDRESS SECTION ON YOUR CANADA POST RETURN ENVELOPE.

The highlighted part (Bold & underlined one), so i am not supposed to mention my return address on return envelope? One more thing, should i just mention my POBox or POBox and address both. I receive mails only on my POBox not on my mailing address. Can anybody explain this part plzz.

Thanks alot bro. I am sure all of us here will get it soon. We are almost there and this long awaited journey will come to an end sooner Thanks everyone for your advice & guidance. Honestly i am kinda addicted to this forum now lol...

A lot of December applicants have had their Background status change to In process, one or two Jan beginning applicants too.
Right now it looks like it takes 3 months from the date of Meds to see any change in the Account.

Me and my wife are done with medical finally. So how's everyone been. What's the trend now? Did every body in Jan receive DM/ PPR ?

What i got from them is: "Files are assigned to staff to process and each staff member processes files at different rates of speed."
That means a particular case may be slow down when the case officer is in vacation or other leave.
Really frustrated and disappointed.

What's a little concerning and borderline scary is that there are applicants from November 2015 who have their BG checks showing as not applicable still..
I wish there was a little more clarity on how the process works.. and why there are hold ups..

That's right, it also depends on the officer's speed to handle the files. Seems like mine was superfast. I'm a February applicant and received PPR in December.
