Hey, how are you guys doing?

I just wanted to share my application timeline here. I'm an inland PNP paper-based applicant (international graduate)

Application received on June 21, 2017
AOR on August 20, 2017
MR on March 24, 2018
MD on April 01, 2018
MP on April 17, 2018
Waiting for PPR

According to this forum news and members posts, I came to know that it will take a little bit longer to receive a PPR however, I'm just curious is it compulsory to receive a pre-arrival letter prior to a PPR?
you will receive pre-arrival letter after your eligibility is passed

So do know what is next after pre arrival? I was trying to look for info on the forum but it is all over the place and very vague.
After you eligibility and criminality are passed, your background check will be processed. Prepare for a long wait. It's the part that takes the longest, as it's done by third party organizations such as CSIS and CBSA and paper-based applicants take low priority. Also, a small percentage of "lucky" applicants get security screening (SS) - it's an extensive security check that can take up to an extra year.

btw, I know all these things from reading this forum, it's a great source of information, just takes time to process it and structure all of it in your head :)

Lileka good information, but I disagree about waiting over a year after Pre-arrival. What I have seen here it is once you passed the medical exams and get pre-arrival letter, if you didn't miss any paper, it is maximum 5 months to get PPR. People say 2 months after Pre-arrival, but I believe even 5 months. I even saw a case that after pre-arrival got the PPR in one month. Of course, with all this process you need to be patient because it feels like forever :)

Unfortunately, pre-arrival letter is no indication, mine was sent mid-January.
It's 19 months for a reason and BGC takes a fair chunk of that time.

Thanks for the input @lileka and @Grechy7, I just hope and pray that whoever is waiting for PPR so get it soon and get out of this process asap.
On other note , I wanted to ask if a pnp is employer driven and suppose there is a change in hourly wage of the candidate + or - , how do one go about it as in where do we need to update the info

It all depends of many factors. If you got the pre-arrival before medical or after. Also the 19 months is an estimated in the worse case scenario and it also depends if you are inside or outside of Canada (For outland takes like 3 months longer than Inland) For example, if you look for the processing time for Medical exams for permanent residency it is 3 months. After my doctor sent the report, it took just 2 days for them to process the exams. So it wasn't the 3 months that they say in the page.

Indeed, as I have mentioned before the 2016 and 2017 process were super slow (40 thousand refugees) but they speed up at beginning of this year and it seems that it slow down with the summer season.

my rep told me there was no need to update my salary when I got a raise, I guess once you get through the nomination this doesn't matter anymore

Inland BC PNP International Graduate Program

Feb 23, 2017 App Rec'd
Apr 6, 2017 AOC
Mar 1, 2018 MR
Mar 19, 2018 MR pass
Jun 26, 2018 ghost update
Jul 4, 2018 DM in ECAS
Jul 9, 2018 PPR

Single applicant, no sponsorship. It's really a long wait. I would recommend definitely to do it by EE if you're qualified.
Did the message that you got on June 4th was Pre-Arrival?

1. 19 months applies to 80% of applications, not the worst case scenario.
2. I got my pre-arrival 2 weeks before my medicals were extended and passed
3. refugees are processed separately.
4. there was no speeding up in the beginning of the year, my application was not touched from July 1 up to January 16. And in January they processed my eligibility, criminality and meds. In February - RPRF. After that again - radio silence.

I don't like giving people false hope that their process will be different and quick. I fell into that trap myself and I don't wish that upon anybody. It's better to prepare for a long ride from the beginning, then if you get PPR quickly, you are in for a good surprise, not the other way around.

I understand what you say and probably your file wasn’t touched at the beginning of the year. However, I can tell for a fact that I got the file number in more than 2 months and some other friends who applied at the end of last year like me it took forever, on the other hand, I have several friends who apply this year and they got their File number within 3 weeks or a month. So they speed up for others. I see many cases that it took almost a year to get medical request for me it was less than 3 months after AOR. I don’t want to have too many expectations, but I don’t want to be negative as well

Hi Guys.
I'm new here, just registered an account a few minutes ago. Here is my timeline for inland PNP:

Application received: June 7, 2017
Correspondence acknowledging receipt: August 8, 2017
Started processing application: August 8, 2017

I haven't had any updated since August 2017. And my background is so simple, Master PNP, single, no rejection history. I have been checking this forum for many months. Many people that have the similar timeline as mine now have passed their medical exams. I have ordered a note about one month ago, but still have no feedback. I have to say, it is frustrating.

Just got my pre-arrival letter, one day after a request for my birth certificate.

here is my timeline:

AOR:2018-03-01
MEDICAL REQUEST: 2018-06-01
BIRTH CERTIFICATE REQUEST: 2018-06-18

I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic. Some people receive MR early in the process but then wait for a year with no updates. Others wait long and at the end of the wait time they receive everything at once: MR, eligibility, etc.
If your suggestion that they've sped up the process were true, then they wouldn't have changed their timeline to 19 months.
