Ah - yes I got my OINP and I had to apply for PR within six months of getting the OINP. But the visa itself was still only valid for 2 years and that ran out in February so I did have to get an extension otherwise Implied Status would have been the only option to allow me to stay and work legally. The extension is valid for another two years. I don't know what BOWP is?well it might be different than what it is like in BC . the BC nomination has a valid date for 6 months and it means you have to apply for PR with it within that time . once your application is found complete by CIC and is being processed , it doesn't matter if your nomination had expired or not , you can still apply for bowp with it if your current work permit expires so you can maintain your legal status in Canada .
as for implied status, I am pretty sure that's a different thing we are talking about , and it has nothing to do with wether your nomination is expired or not .
Ah! Maybe I'm not on an actual nomination at the moment - maybe my visa is actually just called a temporary workers permit?Ah - yes I got my OINP and I had to apply for PR within six months of getting the OINP. Thanks a lot for the clarification! What you described was exactly I thought would be.well it might be different than what it is like in BC . the BC nomination has a valid date for 6 months and it means you have to apply for PR with it within that time . once your application is found complete by CIC and is being processed , it doesn't matter if your nomination had expired or not , you can still apply for bowp with it if your current work permit expires so you can maintain your legal status in Canada .

Thanks for sharing.
When is your medicals and are you single applicants?
I am single applicant with 3 dependants (wife and two little kids). My medicals was April 13 2018 but I didn’t get to do it until
September 2018 cos it was initially sent to my spam box and they resent it to me later after I called CIC. And since Sept that I passed no updates?
Any updates for you recently?

From the look of things we are likely going to get our PPR same time. Hopefully within the next one or two weeks. Its been a freaking 18 months already. The wait is frustrating but I am excited it is almost over.
I will look out to pass to you any new updates I get.
